Note: This is a spin-off of the earlier AI-generated story, The Re-Education Hour, which began as my attempt at testing the capacities of generative AI as they stand in February 2024, when I could not sleep one night and out of boredom. I asked ChatGPT 4.0 Turbo to generate a romantic comedy that is a cutesy mess of utopian and dystopian futures. This whole thing was written by artificial intelligence, based on a few prompts. To make it easy to imagine such a world, I created an initial concept in which (someone like) Greta Thunberg and (someone like) Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez take over the country as benevolent yet autocratic leaders following a long period of chronic political dysfunction in the United States, and implement an array of progressive policies. I spent 4.19515 Nano (XNO) to generate this story, as costs go up as a story develops, since all the previous texts are used as prompts to build the story on top of what has been written already. Remember, this whole thing was generated by artificial intelligence!

Scene: A Bright Morning in Suburbia

Setting: A well-manicured cul-de-sac bathed in the serene light of early morning. Samantha's house stands prominently, its facade reflecting a life of comfort and affluence. The camera pans over a luxury SUV parked in the driveway as the sprinklers gently water the lush front lawn.

Samantha's Voiceover: "They say home is where the heart is. But what if you can give dozens of hearts a home? That's my gift to the world, one lease at a time."

Scene: Inside Samantha's Home

Setting: The interior of Samantha's home is tastefully decorated—a blend of high-end furniture and family photos. Samantha is in her spacious kitchen, sipping coffee and browsing through a high-end home decor magazine.

Husband (Jeff): Enters the kitchen, dressed in business casual, ready for work. "Morning, love. Seen today's paper? There's talk about some protests downtown."

Samantha: With a dismissive laugh, "Oh, those will blow over. It's just people wanting something to complain about. Ready for the barbecue tonight?"

Jeff: "Wouldn't miss it for the world."

Scene: Samantha at Work

Setting: Samantha's home office, walls adorned with plaques and thank-you letters from various community organizations. The desk is cluttered with property listings, interior design plans, and a computer displaying property investment blogs.

Samantha: On a video call, "Yes, we scooped up that foreclosed property on Main. A little love and it will be a dream home for some lucky family. You know me, always looking to beautify our town one house at a time."

Friend on Call: "Samantha, you're a saint. The market's lucky to have you."

Samantha's Voiceover: "I've worked hard for this life. Providing homes, building futures. It's not just business; it's personal."

Scene: Samantha Out and About

Setting: Samantha drives her SUV through the suburb, passing a local public school she once attended. She spots a group of younger, visibly agitated people distributing flyers about the upcoming "revolution for equality and sustainability."

Samantha: (To herself, rolling her eyes) "Revolution? Please. They don't know how good they have it."

Cutaway: A close-up of the flyer left on her windshield, calling for radical change and an end to "privilege hoarding."

Samantha's Voiceover: "Change is always in the air. But as long as I keep doing good, what's there to worry about?"
